The full text of the 1971 book THE NEW SOLDIER, by John Kerry, is available for download here.
Reading this thing, it’s almost impossible to understand how he’s running for President. How can a man who says the following, be a leading party’s candidate for the highest office in the land? From page 48 of the file:
We were sent to Vietnam to kill Communism. But we found instead that we were killing women and children.
Let’s count all the ways this should disqualify him.
1. He’s stating that he personally committed war crimes.
2. He’s accusing his fellow veterans of war crimes – those same veterans he now calls his band of brothers.
3. These accusations are as phony as the forged Rathergate memos. No evidence to support them has appeared in all the time since the Vietnam war. Via Jeff Jacoby, per Col. George E. Bud Day, the most decorated officer since Gen. Douglas MacArthur, who shared John McCains cell in the Hanoi Hilton:
Kerry cast a long dark shadow over all Vietnam Veterans with his outright perjury before the Senate concerning atrocities in Vietnam. His stories to the Senate committee were absolute lies.. fabrications.. perjury.. fantasies, with NO substance. That dark shadow has defamed the entire Vietnam War veteran population, and gave Aid and Comfort to our enemies..the Vietnamese Communists. Kerrys stories were outright fabrications, and were intended for political gain with the radical left ..McGovern, Teddy and Bobby Kennedy followers, Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden, and the radical left who fantasized that George McGovern was going to be elected in 1972. Little wonder that returning soldiers from Vietnam were spit upon and castigated as baby killers. A returned war hero said so…
Conclusion: Kerry falsely attacked his country.
And now he’s running for President? It’s almost as if the Dems had nominated Castro.
