DONALD LUSKIN HAS A HILARIOUS FISKING OF A PAUL KRUGMAN OP-ED PIECE:

In his Friday column, Krugman attempts to spit out the salacious details of scandals involving Republican politicians in Ohio. But what Krugman doesn’t seem to know is that many of the politicians he’s talking about are Democrats! And because the Times does no fact-checking of its op-ed columns, his absurd blunders now live forever in the “newspaper of record.”

Durbin’s Pathetic Evasion of an Apology

THIS ISN’T AN APOLOGY:

“Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line,” the Illinois Democrat said. “To them I extend my heartfelt apologies.”

He’s not saying he was wrong. He’s apologizing for having offended people by making a statement which he still represents as being the truth. And he doesn’t even apologize to everybody—only to those who were offended. That’s pathetic. Along the lines of what Hugh Hewitt said on the radio a few moments ago: if he’d apologized for giving those who are making war on America the recruiting tool they’ve been using, for the past week, to bring in people who want to kill Americans, that would begin to approach a real apology.

Until Durbin admits that what he said wasn’t true, every time he refers to it he all but reiterates the original statement.
