Yesterday best-selling author and investigative reporter Kenneth R. Timmerman spoke to the Wednesday Morning Club in Los Angeles.

From pages 269 - 270 of Timmerman's new book, Countdown to Crisis: The Coming Nuclear Showdown with Iran:
What the [9-11 Commission] team leader found that Sunday morning was nothing less than a complete documented record [from U.S. intelligence agencies] of operational ties between Iran and al-Qaeda for the critical months just prior to September 11. "The documents showed Iran was facilitating the travel of al-Qaeda operatives, ordering Iranian border inspectors not to put telltale stamps on their passports, thus keeping their travel documents clean" the team leader told me. "The Iranians were fully aware that they were helping operatives who were part of an organization preparing attacks against the United States."
...Most troubling among the seventy-five documents the team read that Sunday morning in July were masses of reports on Iranian intelligence operative Imad Mugniyeh, who is described in the 9/11 Commission Report as "a senior Hezbollah operative." The raw reporting showed that well before 9/11, the United States had hard intelligence that the Tehran regime had appointed Mugniyeh as the point man for operational contacts with bin Laden's men.
...Frustrated by their late discovery of the documents, which prevented them from investigating further, the authors of the 9/11 Commission Report's chapter 7 resorted to irony. It was always possible that so much coordination was simply a "remarkable coincidence" and that "Hezbollah was actually focusing on some other group of individuals traveling from Saudi Arabia during this same time frame, rather than the future hijackers."
In this article, I posted on a significant story from Iraq, that MSM has suppressed so that people don't hear about it. New commenter makowski notes:
You know… Big Media are much more interested in Crime, Death, Bombs…
that sells…
This is a standard defense of MSM's omission of good news. But that's not consistent with what MSM says it is doing. MSM says, we are exposing to you the evils of the world that you wouldn't hear about without us. If MSM said, we're just pretending to make the U.S. look bad when it really isn't in order to sell papers, that would justify this defense -- and be closer to the truth.
From Blackfive:
There was a protest march of Iraqis against terror on July 5th.

July 5th! Over a week ago -- and mainstream media didn't think it was worthy of our attention!

AP: ROVE TESTIFIED LAST YEAR THAT *MEDIA TOLD HIM* PLAME WORKED FOR CIA - NOT VICE VERSA.
The person, who works in the legal profession and spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the secrecy of grand jury proceedings, told The Associated Press that Rove testified last year that he remembers specifically being told by columnist Robert Novak that Valerie Plame, the wife of a harsh Iraq war critic, worked for the CIA.
