"We're really blessed in this country to have the Judeo-Christian tradition of wanting to love each other and help each other have better lives and to enjoy life and be good to each other. As opposed to the tradition of some Islamofascist localities where they do the reverse - sending their own children off to be blown up."

Pelosi: ‘We took down the President.’

    Here's the actual quote:

Pelosi said Democrats scored significant victories recently, the biggest coming on Social Security, on which she said Democratic opposition to Bush's proposed private or personal accounts blocked any hopes the White House had for changing the government retirement insurance program this year. "Not only did we take him down on that, but we took down a lot of his credibility as being somebody who cared about 'people like me,' " she said.

This is unfortunate language, to say the least. Enemies of the U.S. would also like to 'take down' the President. It sounds like Pelosi has heard Walt Kelly's saying, "We have met the enemy, and he is us" -- and taken it a little too seriously. Nancy, we're not supposed to be our own enemies.

    GWB Personally Authorized Wiretaps

Bush Admits Approving Eavesdropping Dozens of Times:

Bush said the program was narrowly designed and used "consistent with U.S. law and the Constitution." He said it is used only to intercept the international communications of people inside the United States who have been determined to have "a clear link" to Al Qaeda or related terrorist organizations.

Naturally Libs want terrorists in the U.S. to be able to act with impunity.

The Libs say they're only trying to protect our civil liberties. Don't they know that getting nuked is detrimental to civil liberties? Yet they leaked this information, and in doing so, damaged our national security.

"This is a highly classified program that is crucial to our national security," he said in a radio address delivered live from the White House's Roosevelt Room.

Don't they take a responsibility for keeping this country safe? They're certainly doing damage to the safety of all Americans.

Says it All: Iran Threatens to Nuke Israel With No Fear at All that Israel will Nuke Them

Lately Iran has been threatening to nuke Israel. Yet Israel is believed to already have 200 nukes. Doesn't that say it all?  Iran knows it can rely on Israel to be "civilized," and not strike Iran first, even when threatened loudly with annihilation. At the same time, Iran boasts about its wish for a genocidal destruction of a nation.

The Iranian leadership is on the wrong side of history. They have got to go.

It appears not to be entirely lost on Iran's neighbors that Israel has nukes on subs, and that if Israel were nuked by Iran, it is possible that Mecca and the various jihadist nations of the Mid-East would be targeted:

Gulf Arabs warn against regional nuclear arms race

ABU DHABI (Reuters) - Gulf Arab leaders will call on Iran to shun nuclear weapons to avoid more instability in the energy-rich region already affected by volatility in Iraq, a senior official said on Saturday.

The six-nation, pro-U.S. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), whose leaders meet on Sunday, will also urge Syria to cooperate with a UN probe into the killing of a former Lebanese prime minister, GCC Secretary-General Abdul Rahman al-Attiya said.

"We don't want a nuclear arms race in this region. We are very worried and concerned about this," he told reporters, referring to Iran's nuclear program as well as Israel's nuclear facilities.

"I think it is time for an agreement to have the Gulf region free of nuclear weapons. ... This will no doubt pave the way to urge Israel to submit its (nuclear) facilities (to inspection)," he told reporters in Abu Dhabi after Gulf foreign ministers met to draft the summit's agenda.
