SOUTH PARK CREATORS KNEW IN ADVANCE THAT COMEDY CENTRAL WOULD CENSOR IMAGES OF MOHAMMED:
Parker and Stone were angered when told by Comedy Central several weeks ago that they could not run an image of Muhammad, according to a person close to the show who didn't want to be identified because of the issue's sensitivity.
I'm glad to see that Matt and Trey weren't taken by surprise by the decision of their network. Instead, the episode was a satire of a decision the network had made weeks previously.
Moussaoui Tells Court 9/11's Toll Was Too Low:
Zacarias Moussaoui proudly reaffirmed his involvement in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist plot yesterday and said his only regret was that more Americans didn't die.
Taking the stand for the second time at his death-penalty trial, Moussaoui calmly and matter-of-factly said that the sobbing Sept. 11 survivors and family members who testified against him were "disgusting," that the testimony of one man who crawled out of his burning Pentagon office was "pathetic" and that executed Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was "the greatest American."
His cool demeanor was on display throughout his cross-examination. Moussaoui laughed when Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Spencer asked if he thought the United States was destined to fall. "I know it, I know it," he said. He stared at Spencer as the prosecutor inquired, "You wake up every day to destroy the United States, don't you?"
"To the best of my ability," Moussaoui responded.
There is reason to be very glad that Moussaoui is doing so much to alert Americans of the danger of Islamofascism. Many of us in the blogosphere -- bloggers, commenters, and readers -- are working to make the American people aware of the danger we're facing, and of the need for us to get tougher in dealing with it. We couldn't ask for a more accurate representative of radical Islam, than Moussaoui.
