Disrupted Terror Plot Was Homegrown:
WASHINGTON -- The plot disrupted by British authorities to blow up airliners with devices hidden in hand luggage was an example of a homegrown effort by terrorists emulating al-Qaida, according to an FBI source.
"These are wannabes," the FBI agent said. "They are driven by the same ideology that drives al-Qaida, and they are inspired by al-Qaida, but they have no known ties to al-Qaida."
Indeed, key counterterrorism officials say they have so disrupted al-Qaida and effectively isolated Osama bin Laden that the organization would have great difficulty carrying out such a plot today.
"Al-Qaida still exists, but its capability is close to non-existent," the FBI source said.
The terrorists had intended to target flights to Washington, New York and California operated by American Airlines, Continental Airlines and United Airlines.
The FBI source said the plotters likely were not going to pull off the plot on the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks because they would know that "security will be much tighter on Sept. 11."
This appears to demonstrate that the enemy is not a specific organization such as Al Qaeda, but is instead the political ideology of radical Islam, which is evidently being so widely taught in so many mosques in England, that it was possible for a homegrown plot such as this to flourish.
This ideology is traitorous to the western nations that harbor it, and must be eradicated from those nations. There is no reason for western nations to incubate a disease that intends to destroy them.
The blatant absurdity of recent UN pronouncements is making it difficult to take anything the UN says seriously. Example:
U.N. Body Accuses Israel Of Racism
UNITED NATIONS - A Geneva-based agency charged with eliminating world racism added its name yesterday to the growing list of U.N. organs denouncing Israel's war against Hezbollah. Members of the agency argued that Secretary-General Annan expected them to condemn Israel.
To critics who wondered how the charge of racism could be applied to a war between two groups of Semites, one panel member - also known as an "expert" - of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination said Israel would not have "reacted with the same violence if there was no racism involved," a U.N. press release summarizing the session said.
"Would Israel have resorted to the bombing of civilian infrastructure if it were fighting a non-Arab force?" the expert, Agha Shahi, asked. Another panel member, Patricia January-Bardill, said, "People only gave themselves the right to kill in such a way when they had inferiorized the victims."
Why is this so phenomenally absurd? Because the UN makes no mention of the fact that Arab nations are practicing racism on such a vast scale that they have literally driven almost all Jews out of their nations entirely. From Wikipedia:
In 1945 there were between 758,000 and 866,000 Jews (see table below) living in communities throughout the Arab world. Today, there are fewer than 7,000. In some Arab states, such as Libya (which was once around 3 % Jewish), the Jewish community no longer exists; in other Arab countries, only a few hundred Jews remain.

The U.N. wants to talk about racism? Exterminating and driving out your entire national population of Jewish people - that's racism. And the U.N. doesn't mention this. The U.N. reaches for some pathetically absurd rationalization by which it can accuse Israel - which has a population that is over 18% Arabic - of racism?
Wildly irrational, nonsensical, and absurd statements by the UN such as this are robbing the U.N. of its credibility and legitimacy.
