As noted in articles posted here earlier today, big media is trying to control what we do in the Presidential election, by suppressing the news:
The Washington Times Exposes How Big Media Hid News of Bush’s Recent Success in Italy
I have had it with big media’s attempts to control us. And so have a lot of people. From a Pew Research poll:

Only 35% of Democrats believe all or most of what they hear on ABC News. That’s all—just 35%. And only 17% of Republicans do. All the broadcast networks show similar or even lower numbers.
Only 31% of Democrats, and 14% of Republicans, believe all or most of what they read in the NY TIMES.
That’s a discredited media.
Notice that the percentage of people who do believe most or all of it, has been dropping like a rock since 2000. And what happened between 2000 and 2004? Oh yes… that’s right… 9-11. This is wartime, and we the people naturally want a media that supports us and wants us to succeed.
Big Media, wake up and smell the coffee: you’ve been discredited. The vast majority of people don’t believe what you’re saying.
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
Before Watergate, media in the U.S.A. had a tradition of saying to America, “Go Team!”, of cheering for our success, celebrating our victories, and sadly regretting our losses.
After Watergate, big media devoted itself to attacking America. They slam every President, and everything America does. They hide our successes and our victories on back pages and often even fail to report on them at all.
But they made a mistake. America is made up of real people, called Americans. After decades of being slammed and berated by big media, these Americans have realized that big media is no longer on their side and that they’re going to have to look elsewhere to find out what’s really going on in the world.
As evidenced by the recent financial troubles at the LA TIMES, by attacking its own customers, big media is behaving in a suicidal manner.
...reported levels of regular newspaper reading and viewing of network evening news broadcasts have not recovered from their decade-long slump, though they have not declined further.
They’re discredited and have lost customers and money.
AND HERE’S HOW TO FIX IT
Addressing my comments to big media:
Stop suppressing the news. Your job is not to rule us, but to report to us.
“To report to us” in both senses—not only in bringing us the news, but also in the sense of being, like the President, the subordinate of the people.
A media that shows love and support for Americans, will thrive in finding that Americans show love and support back.
This is the third of three posts today on big media.
