Evidently there’s a museum in Pittsburgh that specializes in hanging anti-American propaganda on the walls and calling it art. Teresa funds it:
Former first lady-wannabe Teresa Heinz has donated $4 million to a Pittsburgh museum that frequently showcases artwork depicting U.S. human rights abuses – including exhibits on lynchings in America, the Rodney King beating and the Abu Ghraib prison scandal.
She’s been financing this museum since it opened in 1994:
When it opened in May 1994, the Warhol received a $5 million grant from the Vira Heinz Endowment and the Howard Heinz Endowment, which are chaired by Mrs. Heinz.
Teresa appears to love doing things that are bad for her husband John Kerry’s political career:
The Warhol Museum’s Abu Ghraib exhibit, titled “Inconvenient Evidence,” prompted howls of protest from veterans groups when it opened last September.
“It is a disservice to all the veterans who served,” complained Joseph Dugan, president of the Soldiers & Sailors National Military Museum & Memorial. Dugan added that he thought the exhibition’s concept was “appalling.”
Well, you're quite right. But ...
- Is it appropriate for the wife of a Senator to fund an institution the purpose of which is to make America look bad?
- Isn't it harmful to Kerry's political career to harm his relationships with war vets, which was one of the key things that kept him from getting elected?
The museum is the Andy Warhol Museum, and is often cited as one of the main cultural attactions in Pittsburgh. The city would be worse off without it. Many wealthy conservatives contribute to the museum.
As for the photos, that actually happened, you know. Pointing out that it happened and reminding people that it happened is one way to, you know, make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm not sure where the problem is.
