AVOWED RACIST FARRAKHAN HIRED TO PROVIDE SENSITIVITY TRAINING FOR NEW ORLEANS POLICE DEPARTMENT. Farrakhan, whose organization is called “the Nation of Islam,” has made many racist statements about white people, Jewish people, and about the Pope, and has publicly praised Hitler. This is totally normal for Islamists who want to replace Western culture with the Islamic culture, in which women are stoned to death, and non-Muslims are relentlessly oppressed. The New Orleans Police Department should realize that Farrakhan is unsuitable to provide sensitivity training. From the linked article: “Obviously, Chief Compass needs sensitivity training to realize the implications of his decision.”
Update : Atlas Shrugs posts a report that the contract between Farrakhan and the New Orleans Police Department has now been cancelled.

That's sickening to hear that a senior Nation of Islam member is being hired to do "sensitivity" training. However, it's inaccurate to put the Islamist label on a group who aren't even Muslims. NOI founder Elijiah Mohammed believed he was God's prophet. This belief is antithesis to basic tenets of Islam, which include that Prophet Muhammed was the final prophet. Since NOI denies this tenet, they are considered kuffar (i.e. that term that I hate using: infidels). Also, NOI is racist against Muslims who aren't black.
It would be more appropriate to refer to the NOI as simply the racist bigots that they truly are.
