Evidently this CBS affiliate in Idaho chose to blatantly disregard the MSM memo directing all MSM to pretend that it had been proven that Hussein had no WMDs:
CBS AFFILIATE WILL NOT AIR SHEEHAN AD BECAUSE THERE IS “NO PROOF” OF ABSENCE OF WMD IN IRAQ
Tom, try reading what I actually said.
I already did.
So, Tom, Bush having been "wrong about the weapons of mass destruction" is different than Bush lying about the WMD and the reasons for going to war, right? I mean, I guess, one could be wrong or mistaken and not have lied? Correct?
Moreover, I guess logic and basic knowlegdge about history would suggest that the ad should "say" that Clinton, Gore, the UN, France, Gernany, Russia, Britain and Sandy Burglar, etc. were all "wrong about the weapons of mass destruction” as well? Or maybe they lied too!?!
Oh man Vik. This huffingtonpost.com blog is killing me. I am falling off my chair. I am in stitches and have tears strolling down my puffy jewish cheeks. These comments are undeniably hilarious:
"Wow, that sheehan lady has a face a puppy could love,....er,...with a bit of gravy smeared on it."

"I think the CBS affiliate was just being polite. Don't you think the real reason they wouldn't run her commercial was because of her FACE?
I mean c'mon, her FACE is a war crime. If she wasn't a whacky liberal the liberals would make her face illegal."

You know that is a great point. If Sheehan were a Neo-con, the leftists would be deriding her looks like mad.

Different, yes, but these are not necessarily mutually exclusive. If one lies, then one is also wrong.
Maybe you can answer the question Vik ignored: Are you claiming that Bush was right about the WMDs?

I am very curious to see whether Vik allows this garbage to remain on his site. Is this what passes for humor among the right?
Tom: Are you claiming that Bush was right about the WMDs?
Actually, that is probably a very appropriate question. The answer apparantly depends on one's political bent. And, I am not being trite. The left is so vicious toward Bush that it appears he can not do anything right. So far he has been 'wrong' about the WMDs, because this big cache has not been found; but the same can be said about everyone else in the world, including, but not limited to our previous (fearless) leader, Clinton. It is just tragic that Bush is the only one who 'lied'.
The interesting thing is that it is really difficult to expect a tyrant to keep weapons (like these) hanging around after being warned months earlier about an imminent invasion. Thus, it hasn't been conclusively proven that Saddam had none, which is what the left so badly wants to believe. Saddam used WMDs on the Iranians, Kurds and Shiites. All of sudden in '02 & '03 he has none? Preposterous.
Bush will go in history as the man who brought Democracy to the Middle East and freed several nations from tyrannical rule. This kills the left. Now that is humourous.

Why shouldn't Vik keep this 'garbage'? If it is good enuf for the Huffster why shouldn't he keep it? Also, isn't the left just totally nutty about censorship? Don't they unravel at the thought? Truthfully, I really did have tears strolling down my face. I was on the floor.
Humour on the right? Wow, is that not the pot calling the kettle black. The left can say all kinds of truly krappy things about 'right-wingers', 'religious zealots', and the like and there is no problem about humour or truth. But, if the right does it, we must be sensitive to someone's poor 'feelings' cuz that is 'mean', thus we must censor! Hummm, is it not mean or inappropriate for the left to call Bush Hitler, or for Sheehan to say that her son and others' sons are dying for a 'lie'?

Well said.
I agree with Vik, well said Todd. In addition I would just like to say that chemicals used to construct WMDs were found and have been widely pubilised. The left discredits this by saying the chemicals were individually not weapons. If I have a gun in my living room and bullets in my bedroom I can still shoot someone just as dead. Also, if the chemicals were used for nothing more than fertlizer ans such than why were they so well hidden or buried? I know they were hidden, buried, and mislabeled because I have family that helped find them.
The CBS affiliate had every right not to run the ad.
i recently was thinking about something...in the US airports profile every and each asian entering the sates but are pissed off if the same treatment is metted out to them at indian airports? if u can runa security check on us while entering your nation why be angry when we run the same procedure? is this not the obstinate pride of a nation that thinks it is superior to all other nations??
vik, am waiting your rejoinder
Hi Sukirti,
I've never been to India, but in U.S. airports, when I'm required to go through scrutiny, (i.e. on every plane trip), I'm always very cooperative. The scrutiny is intended to protect everybody.
Could what you have seen at the airport have just been a bad day? Do you have reason to believe it happens frequently? Maybe a few people are poorly behaved, but I would think that most Americans probably wouldn't make trouble.
vik
are u aware that the united sates has a system of profiling all asians who eneter which is not much different from profiling criminals...try doing the same to americans here and hey they are so stunned!!can we be criminals u think? we from the united states????pray, sir we poor asians wish to say the same thing...if ur not aware brazil retaliated by doing the same and it became an us embassy issue... and i cant believe that anybody could support george bush!! i have seen soem of his quotes which are gems..
'most of our countries imports come from other countries'
being a gem from him...such a man the president of usa??
come on i think u got better guyz for that position...
The ad does not claim that it has been proven that Hussein had no WMDs.
The ad does say that Bush was "wrong about the weapons of mass destruction."
Are you claiming that Bush was right about the WMDs?
