From Iran Press News via Regime Change Iran comes news that China has stepped up and told Iran that Iran is no way, no how going to get nukes:
“China will never permit the Islamic Republic of Iran to gain access to nuclear weapons” said the Foreign Minister of China, Li Hoaxing who was visiting Israel.
This is fantastic. I’ve been commenting on how useful it can be to the U.S. to have another superpower to help it keep the nut jobs in line. This is a perfect example.
And, by the way, I love it that he said it in Israel. This is really quite a development. This looks like Communist China making common cause with the nations of the Judeo-Christian tradition to reign in the Islamic world’s efforts to make war on the rest of the world.
Update: In a speech in Los Angeles on July 15, 2005, and in comments afterwards to me, best-selling author Kenneth Timmerman stated that the above was PR only, and that China had personally assisted Iran in Iran’s efforts to develop nuclear weapons capability.
