From the Drudge Report:
DNC ELECTION MANUAL: CHARGE VOTER INTIMIDATION, EVEN IF NONE EXISTS*World Exclusive*
The Kerry/Edwards campaign and the Democratic National Committee are advising election operatives to declare voter intimidation—even if none exists, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
A 66-page mobilization plan to be issued by the Kerry/Edwards campaign and the Democratic National Committee states: “If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a ‘pre-emptive strike.’”

The provocative Dem battle plan is to be distributed in dozens of states, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Here’s the text of the page from the DNC Election Day Manual:

www.democrats.org2. If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a “pre-emptive strike” (particularly well-suited to states in which there [sic] techniques have been tried in the past).
- Issue a press release
- Reviewing Republican tactic used in the past in your area or state
- Quoting party/minority/civil rights leadership as denouncing tactics that discourage people from voting
- Prime minority leadership to discuss the issue in the media; provide talking points
- Place stories in which minority leadership expresses concern about the threat of intimidation tactics
- Warn local newspapers not to accept advertising that is not properly disclaimed or that contains false warnings about voting requirements and/or about what will happen at the polls.
This is quite fraudulent. It appears to me to amount to an order to bear false witness.
Note that this is to take place on and leading up to Election Day, and it is to take place specifically even if no signs of voter intimidation exist.
It would be one thing if the instructions were to say, “this happened here 20 years ago – let’s be vigilant to make sure it doesn’t happen again.” But the instructions don’t say only to do this where such things have have happened in the past. They only say it’s “particularly well-suited” to places where it has happened in the past.
Not only that, the instructions are for leaders to talk about “the threat of intimidation tactics”, as if there is such a threat, even though the instructions specifically say the leaders are to talk about that even if there is no such threat.
The DNC wants political leaders to speak out as though they believe voter intimidation is currently taking place on and leading up to Election Day—even though the reverse is true.
This is false; it’s fraudulent; it’s dishonorable; and it is an example of the current state of the Democratic party.
It offers an opportunity to those on the Left to wake up and realize that their leaders are purposely lying to them.
To Democrats reading this: I know the vast majority of Democrats love this country and want all Americans to succeed. Ask yourselves: if your leaders are lying to you so blatantly—putting instructions about how to do it right in their official Election Day Manual—what else are they kidding you about? You will find that the facts are not there to back up many of the things they have been telling you about this country. Click here for more info.
