Less frequently noted is that the blue states also just happen to be the home bases, or adjacent to the home bases, for the mainstream media.
People are always proud of locally produced sports teams, products and services. This gives MSM a “home-court advantage” among the public that is local to their points of origin, i.e. the blue states.
Surely this helps MSM pull the wool over the eyes of blue-state residents, and is part of the reason why the residents of those states have not yet seen through the liberal bias of MSM.
Liberals believe what they are told by a biased MSM. That’s why there is so much disagreement between Liberals and Republicans these days. MSM is doing a great deal of harm in this way.
No doubt the press prints what the local public wants to see. But does that local public really want to be misled? There are better ways the MSM could serve their own interests, and the interests of local audiences, than by biased reporting.
