During a visit to Auschwitz, Pope Benedict XVI said:
"The rulers of the Third Reich wanted to crush the entire Jewish people, to cancel it from the register of the peoples of the Earth," he said, standing near the demolished crematoriums where the Nazis burned the bodies of their victims.
"By destroying Israel with the Shoah, they ultimately wanted to tear up the taproot of the Christian faith and to replace it with a faith of their own invention."
These words are relevant to Iran's current, stated, ambitions to see Israel destroyed; the Pope has said that to destroy Israel, is "to tear up the taproot of the Christian faith."

#2The good thing is, the Pope is describing Israel as "the taproot of the Christian faith" -- he's leading Christians around the world, to stand solid with Israel, opposed to the Islamofascists. This is fantastic.
#3Most people make the same mistake when they talk about Muslims being against Isreal. Muslims dont want another Holoucast or kill all jews. what they would like to see is.. the destruction of the isreali state within Palestine not the jewish people. for its not the jewish people muslims are against it the jewish state within Palestine. as its formations is one that is questionable since secular goverments should not have the right to declare the formation of their country on religious bases which al;so can be refuted acourding to the bible.dig deep into history and you'll find the jews christians and muslims all used to live togather in Jurasalem there were mistakes done by all there is no deniying that.this topic is a big one one can produce acqusations on the isreali state and counter them for-ever. for example. PFLP (popular front for the libration of palestine) is not a muslim or an islamic movements as one of its leader and founder was gorge habash a christian palestinian and on of the first groups to launch an offense against isreal.but other people as well as muslims are also confused about the whole thing. and the holoucast was never a religious matter it was political and its foudnations lie deep rooted in darwanism and racialism not religion.

Most of the leading Muslim clerics DON'T EVEN BELIEVE THE HOLOCAUST HAPPENED, AND THEY CALL FOR THE KILLING AND DEATH OF ALL JEWS!! Would you like some links to numerous videos of clerics making these statements? It's so interesting to see how casually and subtely you make you anti-Israel statements as if it's OK that a whole group of people aim to destroy an entire country. Are you justifying their violence against Jews? I mean, you seem to say that as long as they just want to destroy Israel, then it's OK since there's no "evidence" that they want to kill Jews. Would you like that evidence sir? Because it's out there in abundance. Your sense and knowledge of history and the bible are both scewed with ridiculous anecdotes and untruths. I don't even know where to start. Your disgusting summation of what the holocaust was all about reeks of anti-semitism. It looks like you're getting some great education out there in Kuwait. as i already said that this is a topic that requires a lot of discussion to explain properly do have patience with me.
I do agree with you that the Nazi's perpose was for murdering the jews was no religious matter and although not in equal numbers but they also killed the gypsies, jahova's witnesses, homosexuals , those old and those crippled. their entire project was based solely on racism , darwanism as well as politics. i do apreciate your humor and do understand your argument and i know there are many muslim clerics who call for the blood of jews and the blood of christians to be spilt for their so called freedom for the muslims and islam and there are those who deny the HOLOCAUST. such are the people on eror and of no understanding.surely muslim blood is no more valuable jewish blood or blood of any human for that matter all are equal before GOD except those who are more pious and if you read my comment again you would see the text were is said that there are muslim who are mistaken and there were mistakes made on part of the muslims and others as well. as far as the creation of isreal goes yes i do understand that this was the Holy land give to the jews by God Almighty there is no denieing that and there is no argument of the special treatment of the jews who were favoured above all nations. but do read deutronomy 31,32,33. i donot say that jews dont have a right to live here of course they do they blong to this place and it is their home. but isn't Isreal a secullar state Please correct me if i am wrong for i would love nothing more then to be corrected by my own brother. and if it is secullar then a secullar state cannot base the right and perpose of its creation on religious bases. but if you look back in history and once again if any where i am wrong i would love nothing more then to be correct by my own brother after the romans took over the holy city and it was filled with idols and people were also forced to pay tribute to the idols and if you remmber the name of Barcocba from the lineage of David (i dearly appologize if i miss-spelled the name) and the uprising did suceed at first and then it failed the roman army crushed the uprising and burnt the Temple. then came the bazyentinians if you remmber the name of herculies or harkel. and the city was under total Christian rule and after that it was handed over to the 2nd caliph of islam.he declared it to be a free state for all the three religions to come and worship to there were agremments made between the muslims and the chrisitans . i hope you can find those agreements online. among them was an agreement that the jews were not allowed to settle into teh holy city but ammendments were made so that the jews were allowed to visit the holy city and worship there perform their pilgrimage. then the crusades and then saladin ayubi jurasilim was freed and then gratest event to follow was the world wars. most muslims are mistake regarding jews they donot understand tell them that when the Prophet of Islam Mohammed (Peace be on him) Migrated to Madeena a pact for protection of madeena made between the muslims and those living in Madeena among them were three tribes of jews and in the first battle there among the martyrs was also a martyr a jew rabbi i donot remmber the name. and in another battle on of the tribes did betray the people of madena (not only muslims) the punishment was prescribed by a muslim jew (as being a jew is not a religion rather a nationality) for the jews from the bible. but then again these are the details that goverments and people on either side are either not aware of or are delibrately kept from them and look at the religions the only monothisim present in the world both worship the same GOD although they use diffrent names (See the criterian and attribute of God in both religions one-for-one match) did not Abraham say the name of El-Shadai and Elohim and many use the other Name (I donot wish to right this name here due to the high level of respect from the jews for this name of God Almighty and i donot know the exact spelling) and as the hindu scriptures says "He is but One and Alone but the sages call Him with diffrent names" ............ I had so many problems with the Pope's visit, and this was one of them. The more he says things like this and other remarks he made over his visit, the more it scares me into thinking that he wasn't just part of the Hitler Juden because "everyone else was". But, just to concentrated on this statement for now, it's all well and good that the Pope tried to find a way to connect the Holocaust against the Jews to a more universal, but tearing up Christianity was not the Nazi's aim when they slaughtered 6 million Jews. The Nazis only cared about one thing when they were annhilating the Jews: ANNHILATING THE JEWS!! They had no interest in faith except that of the third reich. There was no ulterior religious agenda. They wanted to make a pure Aryan race amongst the "true" German people, and the only path to that goal was to wipe off the dirtiest blight on their existence: the Jew. Nothing more, nothing less. To say that tearing up the foundations of Christianity was part of their motive in the Holocaust is to put meaning and logic where none exist.
