Our correspondent in Egypt, Huda N. (not her real name), writes:
When in 2009 Switzerland banned the construction of minarets, the prayer tower of mosques, the Muslims in Switzerland protested in anger accusing the Swiss of being racists. These Muslims were not of the original populace of the country but mostly Muslim immigrants.
On the other hand while we the original Egyptians request the reopening of 22 closed churches, Muslim fundamentalist protested on that. Although a promise was made by the Military council to re-open one in particular in Ein Shams in Cairo, the Muslims of the area did not allow the prayer last Friday morning and prevented the priest and Christians from entering into the church.
A conciliation meeting was done, Muslims would allow the reopening of the church on the condition of banning the building of a dome and steeple carrying crosses. Condemned by their own mouth they have indicted themselves as racists. It is a sign of double standards of how they apply different sets of standards to the same situation.
Have you ever wondered why Muslims destroy churches and attack non-Muslims in so many Muslim-ruled countries? The answer is very easy: it's because it is an explicit part of their religion to do so. If you are reading this and saying to yourself, "That can't be - Islam is a religion. All religions are about peace and love and understanding," guess again. Islam is not a religion of peace and love and understanding. Does that sound harsh? Want to know what happens if you show a Bible to somebody in Saudi Arabia? A world of hurt. Does that sound like a religion of peace? Per a 1997 Robert Fisk article:
The Christians of the Middle East are making an unprecedented exodus from the lands in which their ancestors have lived since Christ taught here. At least two million are estimated to have left in the past five years alone, leaving only 12 million Christians in and around the lands of the Bible. And, as Robert Fisk reports from Bkerke, Lebanon, half the entire million-strong Christian population of the Arab world’s most moderate state have departed in just 20 years.
Want to know how many Jews are in Islamic nations? Zero. Those Islamic nations drove out or killed all the Jews. From Wikipedia:
Per Wikipedia (same link):
From 1948 until the early 1970s, 800,000-1,000,000 Jews left, fled, or were expelled from their homes in Arab countries; 260,000 of them reached Israel between 1948 and 1951; and 600,000 by 1972.
Islam is no religion of peace.
Now, want to know what percentage of Israel is Muslim? 16%. Sixteen percent of the population of Israel is Muslim. That tells you the difference between Islamic and Judeo-Christian faith, right there.
