5,000 people gathered to rally today in support of Israel in Los Angeles. The mood was upbeat and friendly. Gov. Schwartzenegger and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa spoke to the crowd and spoke strongly in favor of Israel.
These photos will hopefully convey a sense of the event.

Contrast this upbeat rally, filled with caring for Israel, to the average Islamist rally, which is filled with vows to "dominate" and "destroy" others, as in this example.
This kind of rally shows the kind of support Israel wins for itself, when it stands up to defend its people against attacks.

The Big Picture has been too scholarly and respectable for it to revert to a 'frat boy' blog.
Let's get back to the gravitas of the situation; two countries are bombarding each other and people are dying. There is a strong possibility that Hezbollah's power base will be eliminated and a peaceful, democratic Lebanon will emerge.

#9Adam, over the past 8 years, the Palestinians have fired over 4,000 rockets and over 4,000 mortar shells into Israel - and the number of rockets and mortars fired per year, from Palestine into Israel, increased drastically in 2008. #10Adam, how can you speak out about "Us Americans" against Israel. There are only about 6 million Jews in Israel surrounded by about 300 million Muslims, most of whom hate them. Many times Muslims throughtout history have tried to exterminate them, not to mention Hitler's Final Solution, and Christian persecution of the Jews. Meet history's most persecuted and heroic people, the Israelites. (You might think that I am one of them, but you would be wrong.) Islam is, pure and simple, evil. It has no redeeming qualities, it is doomed by what defines it, the Quran. The Quran is the message of Evil from Satan as resonated in the Prophet Muhammod on that mountainside in 610 AD. It cannot have a historical progression, as has been had by Christianity, which has a bloody past, but has emerged from the darkness. Islam cannot do so, as it is supposedly the words of God (Allah = Satan) himself, was not even created, cannot be interpreted, and so it cannot be exposed to Critical Inquiry, a necessity for Enlightenment. Muslims are forbidden from analysis and interpretation of their religion, and so are forbidden from being able to determine right from wrong, good vs. evil. The Quran calls this Apostasy, and so its followers are doomed. DOOMED.
The Final Crusade is needed, to rescue the seventyish percent of Muslims who are oppressed by the remaining fanatical demonic self - righteous but horribly wrongly so oppressors. Especially the women who are considered to have no contributions to make except for their bodies. Every mosque on the planet should be closed, and every Quran burned, the religion banned. A United Nations of Religion must take control of this evil, allow the followers of Islam to emerge from the darkness into Enlightenment, to be able to express their beliefs rationally, to develop a religion that can coexist with others in the pursuit of goodness, and making everyone they touch a better person, his a better lot because of you. Enough of Believer vs. Unbeliever, Us vs. Them, Evil vs. Good. Enough.

I believe that more Palestineans have been killed than Israelites. Also, if you take a look at the old and new political map of Palestine and Israel, you will be shocked to find out that Israel is the invader of Palestinean territory and not the other way round. Also, please get your facts right about any religion before speaking ill of it. I understand that many people doing wrong and backing their actions stating it is what Islam had taught them. This is not true. I would suggest you first try to understand Islam and I am sure you will find out that all your alleagations are baseless.
There are some people out there trying to defame Islam and I feel it is wrong. Islam is a religion of peace and I hope once you do your own reaearch on it, and not give in to false roumors, you too will feel the same.

And do not come back with all that deception stuff about "Killing a single human being is equivalent to killing all of mankind," as I know about "Abrogation," that subsequent verses of the Quran supercede earlier ones, and that Surah 9 was the final one, it is the Chapter of War. Islam is not what you think it SHOULD be, it is what it IS, and what it IS is from Hell, it is Satan who resonated in Muhammod as he went up on that mountainside in 610 AD. Do not fall for the "All religions are peaceful and tolerant, Islam is a religion, Islam is peaceful and tolerant" fallacy. Islam is what it is, as such, this being defined by the Quran, and this is NOT tolerant of other religions. Especially Judaism, since Muhammod was infuriated by the Jews of Medina holding steadfast to their religion, and considering him the False Prophet that he was.
Oh, and this bit about learning about Islam before speaking out on it, I have read book after book on Islam, all after 9/11, and with every book I read, it just gets worse and worse.
