Bill Crawford at National Review Online has a tremendous amount of good news from Iraq. A sampling:
On the economic front, Iraqi-oil output is now at its highest level since the liberation...
...attacks on oil facilities are lessening...
...oil production is booming...
...a U.S. Marine writes that the insurgency is crumbling [and] A recent story in the Boston Globe backs him up...
...Iraq recently celebrated two years as a free and democratic nation, and the progress that has been made in this short time is remarkable...
...The empowerment of women has been especially impressive since Saddam’s fall, and the country now has a radio station just for women...
It just goes on and on. As usual, readers of MSM haven't heard a word of any of it.
I guess BigPic is suggesting that MSM is the CNN, MSNBC, and other TV networks.
Those are good news and I hope to see more like it. It would be nice to see Iraq (& the rest of the world) win the fight against terrorism.
Nice Blog.
JAF,
Thanks very much, and welcome to the site!
Ruth,
You're making a very good point. Yet, I'm sure you'll agree with me, that the vast majority of readers of MSM haven't heard a word about these things. The reason is that even when Reuters and AP run such a story, most MSM newspapers bury it on a back page, if they run it at all.
On the economic front, Iraqi-oil output is now at its highest level since the liberation...
This links to a Reuters article.
...attacks on oil facilities are lessening...
This links to an Associated Press article.
...oil production is booming...
Another Associated Press article.
...a U.S. Marine writes that the insurgency is crumbling [and] A recent story in the Boston Globe backs him up...
Yes, the Boston Globe, running an Associated Press piece.
As usual, readers of MSM haven't heard a word of any of it.
Not a word of any of it? If Reuters, the Associated Press, and the Boston Globe aren't part of the "MSM," then who is?
