The bloggers of Huffington’s Toast have decided to let people know who they are. They include Moxie, Allah, Aaron, Jeff, Noel, and Steve H., who originally created the site.

Not only is the site hilarious, but the bloggers seem to be funnier than ever when they are collaborating. Maybe they should write a comedy next.

ISLAM: CALL IT A CULT AND SHUT IT DOWN!

Islam is a cult — a killing cult. America shuts down killing cults.
Then let’s do it. Islam is labeled as a world religion. Is it? If you want to categorize it as that, go ahead. But it’s more than a world religion. It’s a killing cult. And that foremost.
There is no other religion on the planet that sets forth killing as its prime postulate. Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Shintoism, Judaism, and Christianity do not set forth the dictum that devotees kill off non-devotees.
Islam, sometimes referred to as the Muslim religion, dictates, according to its deity, Allah, that Islamics kill all non-Islamics. The latter are called “infidels.” That would mean that the planet eventually would be populated only by Islamics. That is the goal of Islam — to extinguish all others than their own.
That’s a cult — plain and simple. Killing off is the ethic. Murder it the moral base. Slaying is the virtue.
And to commit suicide in order to see through the leveling of non-Muslims guarantees males an eternity of cavorting sexually with females “on the other side.” There is nothing promised females for women don’t count except for dung in Islam.
In reality then, according to the Christian faith, Islam does have its actual quotients. It’s not merely a myth. It’s a reality spun from a literal hell. Therefore, Allah is Lucifer. The Koran is demented revelation from demons. Mosques are meeting places for demonic preaching and activity. Clerics are agents from The Pit.
...There is no gospel in Islam — no good news of salvation. There is only the promise of orgies aplenty in the next sphere, that is, for the suicide prone. And for the others, an eternity in Islam paradise, the definition left to Allah.

It is kind of hard to get away from the endless images coming from the Mid East of Islamists glorifying blood, death and killing. The car swarms; the ritual shedding of the blood of an Islamist’s own children; the handing out of candy when civilian children are killed; etc. Characterizing this as a “demented revelation from demons” seems reasonable.
Additional controls on those immigrating to the U.S. from Islamic nations appear to be appropriate.
On the plus side, the many indications of freedom spreading in the Mid East, as a result of GWB’s policies, are encouraging. The Arab people themselves may embrace democracy, and remake Islam into something that can succeed in today’s world.
The previous design for a new World Trade Center is an abomination, as I’ve noted before. Take a look at it:
Can you believe that? The proposed new buildings appear to lean, as if they are about to fall over. They’re a reiteration of the threat of the terrorists to the people of the city: they say, "Look out, these buildings are about to fall on you." And they say it for as long as those buildings remain standing. The people of New York would pay to have them torn down. The new design is a nightmare. It should never be perpetrated on that great city. It should never be built.
Trump wants to see the Towers rebuilt in a fashion similar to what they were, but stronger than ever:
May 17, 2005-ALBANY – Donald Trump, escalating his war against the "empty skeleton" Freedom Tower, will offer his own design for a rebuilt 111-story "World Trade Center" at Ground Zero at a press conference tomorrow.
"We have a beautiful model that has been built, a very big model," Trump told The Post yesterday.
"We took the original World Trade Center design, brought it into the modern age, made it more beautiful than ever before, made it one story taller, made it higher lined, and took out the architectural weaknesses that were there.
"We also strengthened the building internally so that what happened on 9/11 could never happen again," Trump added.
..."The design for the Freedom Tower is an egghead design, designed by an egghead, which has no practical application and which, frankly, didn’t look very good.
"I’ve gotten great reviews on my buildings. I’m somebody who believes strongly in great architecture and this [the Freedom Tower] was a design that is just not a good design," Trump added.
...Trump said he had a "huge" reaction to his initial proposal to dump the Freedom Tower, receiving over 1,000 letters in support of rebuilding the WTC.
Update 6-30-05: The new design for the Freedom Tower is more acceptable.

I went to an RSS conference in New York last week. Many pros from all over the net, gathered to talk about RSS, and how it will change Internet businesses, and can be used by them to improve their service. Some interesting notes:

The Baldwin Park Commuter Rail Station has a memorial with the following inscription:
“It was better before they came. This land was Mexican once, was Indian always, and is, and will be again.”
SaveOurState.org organized a peaceful demonstration last Saturday to demand that the city of Baldwin Park immediately remove this seditious, divisive, and anti-American language from the “Danzas Indigenas” monument. Taxpayer-funded, to the tune of $56,000, and situated on public land, the monument promotes the radical and militant belief in the “reconquista of Aztlan.” One passage on the monument laments the presence of whites in America by stating, “It was better before they came.” This is another example of radical revisionist history and militant separatist rhetoric calling for the return of the southwestern U.S. to Mexico advanced by MEChA.
Unfortunately, the Save Our State demonstration turned violent on Saturday as 400 counter-protestors from Leftist groups walked beyond their police barricades and overwhelmed the 50 protestors. The Left was out in full regalia, including La Raza supporters proclaiming their goal to recapture Aztlan and Islamist devotees in face masks urging radical Muslims to come forward and rise up. An elderly woman, who attended with Save Our State suffered head trauma from a blow administered by a counter-protestor with a full water bottle. The woman was hospitalized overnight for a concussion and had a brain scan that indicated irregularities. Police donned riot gear and deployed a rooftop sniper to monitor the situation on the ground.
Except for a local talk radio host, Doug McIntyre, this story has not been covered by the news media.

This story about mainstream media is surely the most appalling in many years. This is far beyond anything Jayson Blair did. This resulted in serious harm to many people and to the United States.
WASHINGTON, May 16 (Reuters) – The White House said on Monday that a Newsweek report based on an anonymous source had damaged the U.S. image overseas by alleging that U.S. interrogators desecrated the Koran at Guantanamo Bay.
The May 9 report triggered several days of rioting in Afghanistan and other countries in which at least 16 people were killed.
Newsweek’s editor, Mark Whitaker, apologized to the victims on Sunday and said the magazine inaccurately reported that U.S. military investigators had confirmed that personnel at the detention facility in Cuba had flushed the Muslim holy book down the toilet.
“It’s puzzling that while Newsweek now acknowledges that they got the facts wrong, they refused to retract the story,” White House spokesman Scott McClellan said. “I think there’s a certain journalistic standard that should be met and in this instance it was not.”
The report sparked violent protests across the Muslim world—from Afghanistan, where 16 were killed and more than 100 injured, to Pakistan, Indonesia and Gaza. In the past week the reported desecration was condemned in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Malaysia and by the Arab League.
MSM has departed so far from reality, and has become so obsessed—for no reason—with making the U.S. look bad, that in this case great harm was done, without any possible excuses regarding the public’s “right to know.” The story was false.
I would like to suggest that even if it were true, it would still have been a great error for Newsweek to print it. It’s a triviality. We wouldn’t care if the Bible had been treated in a similar way. Yet printing the story led to terrible harm to Muslims and to America. Newsweek was wrong to print the story even when they thought it was true.
Okay, this is pretty far out there.
Somebody at Google has a sense of humor.

I had lunch with Luke Thompson today, and I’m happy to say he is in good health. His doctors say he has to take it easy for a few weeks; that’s all he has to do to complete his recovery. And congrats to Luke on his LA Press Club nomination for Best Weblog.
We talked about films, of course, and since he’s seen Star Wars Episode III, we got around to that one. He liked it a lot. He mentioned that there’s a couple of lines in it that he sees as a slam at GWB. These lines don’t give away any plot twists or surprises, but just in case…

Luke mentioned that a bad guy in the film says, “You’re either with us or against us.” And the response is, “Only the Sith deal in absolutes!”
It bugged me that Lucas put a dumb slam against GWB in the middle of this film. But it bugged me even more that he would put a dumb slam against absolute statements in it. Kids are impressionable and some of them will try to take this stuff seriously, which would be to their detriment. For example, the speed of light is an absolute, and if the Jedi don’t know about that, they’re putting themselves at a disadvantage.
But the classic response to such an argument is: “Only the Sith deal in absolutes? That’s about as absolute a statement as you can get.”
So the Newsweek story that caused riots was false.
Let’s keep that in mind next time someone in mainstream media claims that blogs are unedited and therefore unreliable.
And let’s see if all the Libs start yelling that Newsweek “lied.”
